45 EBM couples plant mangroves ahead of Feb. 14 mass wedding

Forty-five engaged couples from E. B. Magalona attended an Orientation on Solid Waste Management (SWM) and later planted about 300 mangrove propagules at the Tomongtong Mangrove Eco-Trail in Barangay Tomongtong last Jan. 30.

These activities were among the requirements of the Local Civil Registrar's Office (LCRO) as part of the Valentine Mass Wedding of the 45 couples on Feb. 14 that will be officiated by Mayor Marvin Malacon at the Public Plaza.

P/Major Kenneth Jay Gratones, chief of police of the E. B. Magalona Municipal Police Station, presented to Mayor Marvin Malacon today [Jan. 23] the two plaques of recognition that he received for EBM MPS yesterday, during the Monday’s flag-raising ceremonies of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.

FREE EYE AND EAR CHECK-UP

More than 500 Saraviahanon residents, mostly senior citizens, from all 23 barangays of E. B. Magalona, have availed of free eye and ear medical check-up at the Public Plaza Friday, as part of the activities of the 2nd Sug-alaw Festival of E. B. Magalona.
