Mayor Marvin Malacon lauded the collective efforts of Third District Rep. Jose Francisco “Kiko” Benitez, US Embassy- Regional English Language Office, Synergeia Foundation, and the Department of Education (DepEd) in bringing advanced educational methodologies to E. B. Magalona to improve the reading literacy of Grades 1-3 pupils and Grade 7 students.

Mayor Marvin Malacon and Executive Assistant Matthew Louis Malacon went to Barangay Consing today to turn over their assistance to a family whose newly built house was razed by fire yesterday. The family also lost to fire their eight sacks of palay, one sack of rice, and several appliances.

The Municipality of E. B. Magalona has received the 2023 Gawad KALASAG Seal for Excellence in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) for being a "Fully Compliant LGU (Local Government Unit)," during the awarding ceremony at the Negros Residences in Bacolod City today.
