E. B. Magalona to mark World Rabies Day on Sept. 20

The Municipality of E. B. Magalona joins the rest of the world in observing this month the 18th World Rabies Day, a global initiative aimed at raising awareness and accelerating efforts towards rabies elimination.

The global observance, with the theme, “Breaking Rabies Boundaries, underscores the urgency to transcend limitations that are hindering the fight against rabies.

The World Rabies Day is being marked worldwide on September 28, but this year, the Municipality of E. B. Magalona will mark the event on September 20 [Friday], to educate pet owners and to control the spread of rabies in the Municipality.

The local government, spearheaded by the Municipal Agriculture Office and Municipal Health Office, and in partnership with the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, thru the Provincial Veterinary Office, has prepared various activities that will be held at the Public Plaza.

The activities are sponsored by Mayor Marvin Malacon and Executive Assistant Matthew Louis Malacon, with the support of Vice Mayor Eric Matulac and Sangguniang Bayan members.

Organizers are inviting Saraviahanon “fur parents” to join the activities.

*Dog Fashion Show
