Repatriated OFW Receives Medical and Support Assistance from E.B. Magalona and OWWA After Illness in Japan

REPATRIATED OFW. Joemarie Gabilangoso, a 34-year-old overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from Japan, was assisted by the Municipal Government of E. B. Magalona, in coordination with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and his agency, upon his arrival at the Bacolod- Silay Airport recently.

From the airport, they brought him to the Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod City for medical check-up and other laboratory procedures, and then brought him home to Barangay Tomongtong.

Gabilangoso suffered an acute illness while being employed as a construction worker in Japan, and had to be repatriated.

Assisting from the Municipal Government were personnel from the Migrant Workers Help Desk, OFWs Help Desk, Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and Municipal Health Office. Leading the Repatriation Assistance were Maricris Chavez, acting head of Migrant Workers Help Desk; Liza Borja, focal person of OFWs Help Desk; Denstelle John Dullan, nurse of Municipal Health Office, and personnel of MDRRMO. Joining them were Gabingaloso’s parents and siblings.
