A total of 215 members of Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) who are from E. B. Magalona availed various services of the state-run social insurance fund during its Services Caravan at the town’s Public Plaza Monday [June 24].

These services included Query Verification, Card Enrolment and Releasing, Annual Pensioners' Information Revalidation (APIR), GSIS Touch Mobile Enrolment, and Inquiries on General Insurance.

Majority of the attendees were current employees of the Municipal Government. Some attendees were pensioners.

Before going to the Public Plaza for the Services Caravan, GSIS Bacolod Branch employees paid a courtesy call on Mayor Marvin Malacon, who was represented by Vice Mayor Eric Matulac.

GSIS employees present were Branch Manager Glorietta Dublas, and staff officers Cristina Gosiaoco of Members’ Assistance Unit, John Dexter Tañeza of Special Business Unit, Melanie Balbuena of Billing and Collection Department, Joao Augusto Perez of Billing and Collection, and Urikka Jeane Caracut-Santos of the Loans and E-Services Department that is in-charge of card enrolment, card releasing, and GSIS Touch registration.

Joining the vice mayor in welcoming them were Sangguniang Bayan Members Gilda Parcon, Edgardo Agravante Jr., Jovie Madayag, Gelita Parcon, Reylan Gamboa Sr., Joey Pugales, and Isidro Gomed Jr., and Municipal Human Resource Management Office head Isabel Armila Patrata.

Matulac, in his welcome message, thanked GSIS Bacolod for bringing its services to E. B. Magalona even just for a day, so that its Saraviahanon members need not travel to Bacolod for their GSIS concerns.

For the orientation, Gosiaoco discussed on “Contributions and Benefits of GSIS Members,” Tañeza talked about “Non-Life Insurance Products of GSIS,” while Balbuena’s topic was “Service Loans and Latest GSIS Digital Innovation.”
