1st Mayor Marvin M. Malacon Inter-School Summer Taekwondo Clinic Starts

With the start of school break, the 1st Mayor Marvin M. Malacon Inter-School Summer Taekwondo Clinic opened today [June 8] at the Public Plaza.

Initially, 17 young taekwondo enthusiasts from various elementary schools in E. B. Magalona started training today under taekwondo coach Andie Perdigueros.

Perdigueros said interested participants are still welcome until June 15, and they can register with sports coordinator Jose Sellado thru 0939-492-5969.

The daily training is being held every morning, 9:00 to 11:00 AM, Mondays to Saturdays, until June 28.

The competition date is slated on June 29.

Gracing the opening day of training were Executive Assistant Matthew Louis Malacon, who represented Mayor Marvin Malacon; and Vice Mayor Eric Matulac.

Joining them were Barangay Captains Rolando Banasig of Poblacion 3, Leah Ruiz of Alicante, Romulo Villanueva Jr. of Sto. Niño, and Leah Beri of Tanza.

Fr. Ernie Larida, parish priest of St. Joseph the Worker Parish; DepEd District of E. B. Magalona Cluster 1 supervisor Angeles Verdeprado, and E. B. Magalona Elementary School principal Jazeel Delilan also attended the opening day.

The taekwondo clinic aims to train taekwondo enthusiasts from the municipality to become taekwondo players who would later represent the Municipality of E. B. Magalona in various taekwondo competitions.*
