EB Magalona boxing champ defends Asian BF bantamweight title

Herlan Sixto Gomez, a 23-year-old boxer from Barangay Madalag E. B. Magalona, successfully defended his Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) bantamweight title in the recently concluded Knockout Blows in Bangkok, Thailand. Gomez defeated Jakpan Sangtong of Thailand via KO/TKO in round two of their main card game at RCA Plaza in Spaceplus Bangkok last May 25.

BM Montelibano Donated Chairs, Canopy Cover Materials, Basketballs and Volleyballs

5 more EB Magalona OFWs receive OWWA livelihood assistance

Five more overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from E. B. Magalona, who are either distressed or displaced, have received financial assistance from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), under its “Balik Pinas! Balik Hanapbuhay!” Program, today [March 24].

Mayor Marvin Malacon seeks SEAFDEC, BFAR aid for EB Magalona marine hatchery

Mayor Marvin Malacon has sought the expertise and assistance of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) and the Department of Agriculture (DA)- Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) to conduct site assessment in three coastal barangays of E. B. Magalona for the construction of a multi-species marine hatchery.

2,611 EB Magalona kids get MR vaccines; 3,041 receive OPVs in first 6 days of ‘Chikiting Ligtas’ campaign

An initial total of 2,611 children in various barangays of E. B. Magalona have been vaccinated against measles and rubella (MR), while 3,041 kids have received oral polio vaccines (OPVs), in the first six days of the ongoing supplemental immunization campaign of the Department of Health (DOH), called “Chikiting Ligtas,” according to the Municipal Health Office (MHO).
