45 EBM couples plant mangroves ahead of Feb. 14 mass wedding

Forty-five engaged couples from E. B. Magalona attended an Orientation on Solid Waste Management (SWM) and later planted about 300 mangrove propagules at the Tomongtong Mangrove Eco-Trail in Barangay Tomongtong last Jan. 30.

These activities were among the requirements of the Local Civil Registrar's Office (LCRO) as part of the Valentine Mass Wedding of the 45 couples on Feb. 14 that will be officiated by Mayor Marvin Malacon at the Public Plaza.

Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.

FREE EYE AND EAR CHECK-UP

More than 500 Saraviahanon residents, mostly senior citizens, from all 23 barangays of E. B. Magalona, have availed of free eye and ear medical check-up at the Public Plaza Friday, as part of the activities of the 2nd Sug-alaw Festival of E. B. Magalona.

ATWoNO holds Christmas sharing activity in E. B. Magalona

The officers and members of the Association of Tourism Workers of Negros Occidental (ATWoNO) held their early Christmas giving and sharing activity in Barangay Tomongtong E. B. Magalona Saturday [Nov. 25]. Fifty indigent families of Tomongtong received five kilos of rice each, during a program at the barangay's covered court.

E. B. Magalona inks MOA with PPA for proposed Saravia Municipal Port

The Municipality of E.B. Magalona has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) for the construction, management, and operations of the proposed Saravia Municipal Port in Barangay Tuburan, at rites at the Asenso Hall at the Public Plaza today [Nov. 17].
