Mayor Marvin Malacon and Executive Assistant Matthew Louis Malacon went to Barangay Consing today to turn over their assistance to a family whose newly built house was razed by fire yesterday. The family also lost to fire their eight sacks of palay, one sack of rice, and several appliances.

The BFP reported that the house of couple Ronilo Eson, 39, and Christine Joy Eson, 23, was destroyed by fire Thursday at 3:00 PM.

The couple, who are both laborers, have three children aged 2, 4, and 7.

Acting Municipal Fire Marshal SFO3 Marc Stephen Trajeras said no one was injured in the fire incident, that started in the couple's kitchen.

Mayor Malacon and EA Malacon turned over the DSWD assistance comprised of family food packs, family kit, kitchen kit, and sleeping kit, that was facilitated by MSWDO, headed by Emy Lyn Hibionada.

For their personal assistance, Mayor Malacon and EA Malacon extended water, hygiene kit, and food to the family.

Mayor Malacon said the Municipal Government will provide housing materials and will help rebuild the house of Eson family, with the assistance of the Municipal Engineer's Office.

Joining them in the turnover of assistance were Municipal Engineer Eddie Junsay Jr. and Mayor's Private Secretary Joel Antonio.*
