E.B. Magalona vying for 4 environment awards
The Municipality of E. B. Magalona is vying for four environment awards: Abanse Negrense Good Environmental Governance Award (ANGEGA)- Sustainability 2 Level; Negros Occidental Governor’s Conservationist Achievement Award (NOGCAA)- both for Individual Category and Local Conservation Area Category; and Abanse Babaye Para sa Dunang Manggad Award (ABPDMA).

A total of 1,339 indigent senior citizens from 23 barangays of E. B. Magalona town have received a cash assistance of P4,600 each under the Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT)- Social Pension Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Mayor Marvin Malacon held a meeting with the EB Magalona Local Drinking Water Quality Monitoring Committee (LDWQMC), on Monday, October 3, to address concerns on water safety and quality, following the report of one cholera case and other possible water-borne diseases in the municipality.
EB Magalona gets award for high tourist arrivals
Despite the community restrictions due to COVID-19 last year, tourist arrivals in the four tourist destinations in E. B. Magalona had contributed to a high number of tourist arrivals in the municipality in 2021.
