TUMANDOK CARES: 250 residents of EB Magalona avail free medical services

by: JOEL PINEDA JAQUINTA

Around 250 children, adults and senior citizens benefited from the free medical consultation services and free medicines during the Medical Mission activity organized by Sta. Theresita’s Academy Alumni Association in collaboration with the Office of Mayor Marvin M. Malacon in Brgy. Alicante, EB Magalona last February 10, 2019.

Aside from the free medical services and medicines, the children also enjoyed free nutritious meal in a feeding program. This was made possible through the facilitation of Ms. Debbie Ann Dioneo- Monte, an alumna of the school and other alumnus who are “tumandok” of the town.

Mayor Malacon expressed gratitude to the officers and members of the alumni organization for working hand in hand with his Office in bringing health and nutrition services to the people. He also reiterated his administration’s commitment to continue working to deliver basic social services to the residents of the different barangays, in partnership with the private sector and civil society organizations (CSOs) if there is an opportunity.

Providing wider access to health, nutrition and social services is part of the “TUMANDOK CARES” Development Agenda of the administration of Mayor Malacon, which is aimed to accelerate local development and benefit the Saraviahanons.
