EB MAGALONA - The new year 2019 is just business as usual in Saravia after the busy calendar of activities in 2018, the successful staging of the town’s “Lights On” ceremony and the Ugyonan Seafood Festival that is on its 3rd year.

Mayor Marvin Malacon says he is happy with the recent activities that gathered the people of EB Magalona. The LGU under his leadership was able to distribute pedicab units, locally known as “Trisikad,” to the out of school youths and kicked off with the said program that is expected to grow and reach more number of beneficiaries.

The humble public servant is likely seen at the town market having coffee with fellow Saraviahanons since the Mayor lives close to the Municipal Hall. Mayor Marvin says it is his daily routine and time to be with the people before he heads to office for his mayoralty duties.

“Establishing a much personal relationship with your constituents will broaden your perspective as a leader. This is where people give you their trust and confidence to lead and I really value that trust that is why we work hard on projects and undertakings that will surely be of benefit to them,” Malacon said.*
