July 10, 2024

ORIENTATION OF ENUMERATORS. Mayor Marvin Malacon addressed the 48 newly hired enumerators from various barangays of E. B. Magalona, during their five-day orientation at the E. B. Magalona Elementary School Library last week.

They were hired by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) for the conduct of the 2024 Census of Population - Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS).

Conducting the orientation were PSA- Bacolod statistical specialist Antonietta Gador, and area supervisors Jhea Alvarez and Ma. Jeanivie Francisco.

In his message, Malacon assured the PSA and the enumerators of the strong support of the local government to the conduct of CBMS.

The enumerators will conduct CBMS from July 15 to September 16 this year. This includes statistical and geospatial data collection and geotagging.

The 2024 CBMS operations shall be a comprehensive enumeration of all households and geotagging of all service facilities and government projects in the locality.

The CBMS aims to generate updated and disaggregated data necessary in targeting beneficiaries, conduct more comprehensive poverty analysis and needs prioritization, and design appropriate policies and interventions.

This is also to update the social registries of national government agencies, particularly the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) will provide support services to the CBMS.

Last February 20, Malacon convened the E. B. Magalona CBMS Municipal Coordinating Board, which he created through Executive Order No. 11 series of 2024.*
