The extension office of the Land Transportation Office in EB Magalona, Negros Occidental, will soon be a reality.

This was after the family of lawyer Gary Acuña donated a 2,000 square meters of property in Brgy. Tabigue, EB Magalona, to be the site of the LTO extension office.

A deed of donation of the property was signed on Friday between the municipality of EB Magalona headed by Mayor Marvin Malacon, Acuña, LTO-Bacolod head Renato Novero, PCapt. Wilfredo Benoman, among others.

Malacon said they will start the bidding for the P4 million LTO extension office building early next year.

The establishment of the LTO extension office in EB Magalona, Malacon said, will bring the necessary services of LTO closer to the constituents of the 3rd district and other neighboring cities and towns in the 2nd district of Negros Occidental.

The establishment of an LTO extension office in EB Magalona, that was initially proposed to be built in Silay City, Ramos said, will decongest the overflowing clients at the LTO-Bacolod office, and is also expected to boost the economy of the municipality.

Malacon thanked the Acuña family for their generosity.

The LTO also expects the decongestion of LTO Bacolod with the establishment of the extension office in EB Magalona.*
