FIRE PREVENTION MONTH KICKS OFF

The Municipality of E. B. Magalona, headed by Mayor Marvin Malacon, kicked off the observance of Fire Prevention Month on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

Spearheading the month-long activities is the Municipal Fire Station, headed by acting fire marshal SFO3 Divino Sibay.

With the theme, "Sa Pag-Iwas Sa Sunog, Hindi Ka Nag-Iisa," the E. B. Magalona Fire Station aims to raise awareness on the dangers of fire to lives and properties.

Leading the opening day activities were Mayor Marvin Malacon, Vice Mayor Eric Matulac, Sangguniang Bayan Members Wyndel Depasucat, Jovie Madayag, Reylan Gamboa Jr., and Isidro Gomed Jr., and Police Major Kenneth Jay Gratones, chief of Municipal Police Station.

Joining them were personnel of the Municipal Police Station, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, National Jail Management and Penology Training Institute, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, F. F. Cruz Shipping Corp., Kaisa Partners, and other agencies and stakeholders.

The opening activities included a simultaneous blowing of sirens of firetrucks, an advocacy walk dubbed "Bumbero Friends and Pets Unity Walk," a program at the Public Plaza, and a motorcade around the town proper.*
