BFP-6 HONORS MALACON

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Regional Office 6 presented E. B. Magalona Mayor Marvin Malacon a Plaque of Recognition "in grateful recognition (of) his invaluable support and contributions" to the BFP-6 "which resulted to the successful implementation of its programs and activities."

SFO3 Marc Stephen Trajeras, acting municipal fire marshal of E. B. Magalona, turned over the plaque to Malacon at the Mayor's Office today [August 16].

Trajeras represented Malacon at the awarding ceremony in Iloilo City yesterday [August 15], as part of the 33rd anniversary of BFP, with the theme, "Bumberong Bayani ng Bayan: Maaasahan Para sa Kaligtasan ng Mamamayan."

Presenting the award was BFP-6 regional director FCSupt Felixberto Abrenica.

Trajeras said Malacon has been providing "exemplary support" to the Municipal Fire Station.

Among others, he said, the Office of the Mayor had given the Municipal Fire Station a brand new motorcycle with fire extinguisher, facilitated the repainting of the station's interior and the conduct of mural painting in its premises, constructed its pavement, allocated a budget for the transport of an ambulance from South Korea that was donated to the station, and allocated a budget for this year's Fire Prevention Month.*
