The 25-kilometer 1st Tumandok MTB Fun Ride 2018 in the sugarcane areas and barangays of EB Magalona in Negros Occidental, was very successful, with 280 bike riders from Negros Occidental and Oriental joining the activity, Mayor Marvin Malacon said yesterday.

Mayor Marvin Malacon assisted by councilors Jun Gomed, Joey Pugales and JovieMadayag present the two mountain bikes won by participants in the 1st TumandokFun Ride in EB Magalona, that was participated in by 280 Negros Occidental bike enthusiasts.*

Malacon, a bike enthusiast, said the MTB fun ride was not only for promoting healthy living, but also making people aware that EB Magalona is a peaceful, tourist and business friendly town.

The participants came from the municipalities and cities of Negros Occidental, and from as far as Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental,with the youngest bike enthusiast 14 years old, and oldest 70 years old.

Malacon said the Tumandok fun ride will now be an annual activity of the town fiesta.

More than P80,000 worth of mountain bikes and their accessories in prizes were won by lucky participants of the fun ride led by Councilors JovieMadayag and Jun Gomed. They were distributed after the two-hour activity, in front of the municipal hall of EB Magalona.

The Tumandok MTB Fun Ride is part of the 5-day town fiesta of EB Magalona.* GPB
