2,000 Saraviahanon availed services from different National Agencies during the caravan of the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP)

The Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor aided 2,000 Saraviahanon of different services during the caravan today, June 20, 2019 held at Wilkinson Social Court from different National Agencies such as Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Pubic Employment Services Office (PESO), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Health (DOH), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Philippine Statistics Office (PSA), Department of Agrarian Reform(DAR), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Bureau of Fishery and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Social Security System (SSS), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) rendered services to the people according to their respective office mandate.

Commissioner Romeo H. Jandungan and Chairman and CEO Alvin S. Feliciano lead the caravan today together with Atty. Ferdinand Iman, Chief of Operations of PCUP Visayas.

Mayor Marvin Malacon thanked the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) and President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for bringing the national government closer to the people through the PCUP caravan. “We are grateful and thankful that we were chosen among other LGU and that we wish that this will be a yearly activity in our town, Mayor Malacon said.

E.B. Magalona is the second local government unit (LGU) in the Province of Negros Occidental to avail the PCUP caravan. The PCUP Caravan is one of the three (3) priority programs of the Commission along with the Adopt-a-Community project and the Urban Poor Privilege Card under the Office of the President.
