BACOLOD City – The Department of Public Works and Highways has approved P63.5 million worth of infrastructure projects in the municipality of EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.

Mayor Marvin Malacon said the projects were realized with help from 3rd district Rep. Alfredo Benitez.

In a letter to Malacon, Engr. Jaime Javellana of the 1st Engineering District, listed the projects funded under the 2018 DPWH Local and Regular Infrastructure Project and Department of Agriculture Farm to Market Road projects and General Appropriations Act that will be implemented in EB Magalona.

Javellana said P56.3 million was earmarked for the construction of water systems in barangays 1, 2, and 3 Poblacion under the 2018 DPWH Local and Regular Infrastructure Project.

More than P11 million was set aside for the road-concreting project between Barangays Nanca to Alacaygan and a farm-to-market road in Consing.
