286 top honor students from different elementary and high schools in E.B. Magalona received cash incentives from the town Mayor Hon. Marvin M. Malacon today held at E.B. Magalona Wilkinson Social Court on the 121st founding anniversary of the Department of Education.

Mrs. Angeles Verdeprado, District Supervisor of Dep. Ed. in E.B. Magalona together with school heads of different schools lead the distribution of cash to students with the parents.

Mayor Marvin Malacon in his message assured the Department of Education, the parents and students full support of the LGU to the education program. Malacon challenged all stakeholders of their contribution to the education of the young generation. “I myself, if not for the hard work and support of my parents I could have not reached who I am and what I am today, Malacon added.

Mrs. Angeles Verdeprado, District Supervisor thanked the Mayor and the LGU for its undying support to the DepEd as partner. “The 286 students today deserved recognition and incentive because of your dedication and perseverance in achieving academic excellence. This likewise will serve as motivation and inspiration to other students”, Mrs. Verdeprado said.   

Today, June 21, 2019 is celebrated as the 121st founding anniversary of the Department of Education with the theme, “DepEd Para sa Pilipino.
