Malacons attend Brigada Eskwela in EBMNHS

Mayor Marvin Malacon and Executive Assistant Matthew Louis Malacon attended the opening ceremony for the weeklong Brigada Eskwela 2024 of E. B. Magalona National High School (EBMNHS) Monday [July 22] to show their support for the program.

Mayor Malacon said his administration has always prioritized education in its executive-legislative agenda, and has been fully supportive of the programs and projects for the development of every learner in the Municipality. Mayor Malacon said he believes that education is essential in the development of every student and eventually the progress of the whole community.

For his part, EA Malacon said he is also doing everything he can in his capacity to help the Municipal Government in attaining its goals and objectives for the development of education in the Municipality.

The Malacons then donated binders for students, calamansi seedlings, gasoline, and two Smart TVs to EBMNHS. Mayor Malacon said his office is working closely with the principal’s office to facilitate other needs of the school.

Also gracing the opening ceremony were EBMNHS principal Ethel Blancaflor, EBMNHS Brigada Eskwela coordinator Ma. Lisa Pancho, EBMNHS PTA (Parents- Teachers’ Association) president Lerome Duaban, Engr. Erwin Poniado, former president of E. B. Magalona Municipal Federated PTA, and Municipal Fire Marshal SFO3 Marc Stephen Trajeras.

Every year, the Department of Education (DepEd) is conducting Brigada Eskwela nationwide to prepare schools for the opening of classes. This year’s theme is, “Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan.”
