NUTRITION MONTH. The Municipal Nutrition Committee, headed by Mayor Marvin Malacon, and the Municipal Health Office kicked off the Nutrition Month celebration in E. B. Magalona Monday [July 1] at the Public Plaza, as it also simultaneously opened nationwide on its 50th year.

This year's theme is, "Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat.” PPAN stands for Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (2023-2028).

Leading the launching ceremonies were Vice Mayor Eric Matulac, who represented Mayor Marvin Malacon; Sangguniang Bayan Member Joey Pugales, and Municipal Health Officer/ Municipal Nutrition Committee action officer Dr. Edmundo Janeo Jr.

Janeo, for his part, provided updates on the nutrition program of the municipality and emphasized that the nutrition program now targets all age groups, not just children, and also includes assistance during emergency situations.*
