The Municipality of E. B. Magalona is holding its annual Halloween Party, now on its seventh year, at the Public Plaza today [Oct. 31], starting 4:00 p. m. to mark the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

The Halloween Party will feature the Halloween Costume Parade and Presentation, and the Halloween Zumba Party.

It is spearheaded by the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) Community of E. B. Magalona, and the Zumba E. B. Magalona Team, according to organizer Jojo Vargas, head of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).

Both the Costume Presentation and the Zumba Party started in 2016 when Mayor Marvin Malacon took the helm of the municipality.

At 4:00 p.m., the LGBT Community, with more than 100 members, will hold their Parade of Halloween Costumes around the poblacion.

Meanwhile, also happening at 4:00 p.m. is the Halloween Zumba Party at the Public Plaza, until 5:30 p.m.

The Zumba Team is headed by ZIN (Zumba Instructor) Ruby Destua and Dance Instructor Edward Dojello. Assisting them are guest instructors from neighboring cities and municipalities, namely, ZIN Joery Aguirre, ZIN Bangz, RFI (Retro Fitness Instructor) Arbhin Lacson, RFI Mary Ann Santillan, Louigee, and ZIN Irene Negara.

For Zumba participants, there will be a contest for Best in Halloween Costume, both for adult and children categories.

After the Zumba Party, the LGBT Community will take over the Public Plaza starting 5:30 p. m. for their Halloween Costume Presentation.
