The Municipal Government of E. B. Magalona, spearheaded by the Municipal Health Office (MHO), joined the rest of the country in marking the National Oral Health Month at the Public Plaza today.

This is now the second year that the E. B. Magalona MHO, headed by Dr. Edmundo Janeo Jr., has observed the National Oral Health Month.

This year's theme is, "Ibigin ang bibig! Sa bibig na malusog at alaga, masustansyang pagkain enjoy hanggang pagtanda."

One of the activities was tooth extraction, where 29 Saraviahanon senior citizens availed of the service.

Likewise, 40 Saraviahanon pregnant women availed of oral examination and topical fluoride application.

Also, 60 Saraviahanons availed of RBS (random blood sugar) and uric acid screenings.

A total of 100 Saraviahanons received dental health kits from the Provincial Health Office (PHO).

The Office of Mayor Marvin Malacon also distributed food packs to the beneficiaries.

PHO dentist Dr. Camille Carmona talked about oral health care for all population, while PHO dentist Dr. Teofil Vidamo talked about how to avoid oral cancer.

PHO dentist Dr. Stephen Uychiat and PHO medical technologist Eden Laberos also provided dental and other medical services, with the assistance of Dr. Ezeneth Alper Nadado, the DOH dentist assigned in E. B. Magalona, and MHO nurses and staff.*
