AGRO-AQUA TRADE FAIR AT UGYONAN FESTIVAL OPENS

The six-day Agro-Aqua Trade Fair opens today [April 26] and will run until May 1, as part of the 35th Ugyonan Festival of the Municipality of E. B. Magalona.

Vice Mayor Eric Matulac, who represented Mayor Marvin Malacon, led the ribbong-cutting ceremony. Joining the vice mayor were Sangguniang Bayan Member Reylan Gamboa Sr., who chairs the SB Committee on Agriculture, and Sangguniang Bayan Member Jovie Madayag.

Mayor Marvin Malacon and Executive Assistant Matthew Louis Malacon also visited the trade fair today.

Also attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony were several department and office heads and personnel of the Municipal Government, and booth sellers.

Visting the trade fair were officers and members of the Municipal Agriculture and Fishery Council (MAFC).

The Agro-Aqua Trade Fair is located beside the Public Plaza across the St. Joseph the Worker Parish.

The trade fair features 18 booths of various stores, companies, and organizations that showcase fresh seafood, fruits, and vegetables, and unique products and handicraft of the municipality.

This includes the famous blue crabs, as E. B. Magalona is considered the "Blue Crab Capital of Negros Occidental."

The trade fair is co-organized by the Municipal Agriculture Office, Municipal Tourism Office, and Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).
