654 DOLE-TUPAD BENEFICIARIES FROM EB Magalona

Another batch of beneficiaries from E. B. Magalona have availed of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers (TUPAD) assistance.

The latest batch, with 654 beneficiaries, underwent an orientation conducted by DOLE representative James Gipulan and E. B. Magalona Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Jessilyn Plaza at the Public Plaza this morning.

Today’s TUPAD fund was facilitated by 3rd District Rep. Jose Francisco "Kiko" Benitez, as requested by Mayor Marvin Malacon.

The beneficiaries will receive P4,500 as wages after rendering 10 days of clean-up drive in their respective communities.

Last year, a total of 673 Saraviahanon displaced workers had availed of TUPAD in October, and another 677 Saraviahanons in September.

Both assistance were also facilitated by Rep. Benitez.

In November last year, 611 Saraviahanons had availed of TUPAD assistance, facilitated by Abang Lingkod Party-list Rep. Joseph Stephen Paduano.

Plaza said today's batch of beneficiaries will conduct clean-up drive in their barangays for four hours a day for 10 days, with a rate of P450 per day, or P4,500 for 10 days.

The beneficiaries are set to receive PPEs (personal protective equipment), comprised of long sleeves shirt, buri hat, and face masks, for use in the cleanup drive.*
