Twenty applicants from E. B. Magalona have qualified for scholarships in two Information Technology courses of the Provincial Government for 2023.

Mayor Marvin Malacon congratulated the new batch of Saraviahanon scholars.

"Take this scholarship seriously by diligently attending the daily classes. The knowledge and the skills you will have learned from this course will be your ticket to finding a better job, and eventually leading a prosperous life," the mayor said.

The Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC), a technical-vocational school owned and operated by the Provincial Government, conducted a pre-assessment examination and interview at the E. B. Magalona Public Plaza Thursday [Feb. 2].

The exam and interview were conducted by NOLITC project development officer Avelyn Marañon and administrative assistant Precious Mongcal.

Assisting them was E. B. Magalona PESO manager Jessilyn Plaza.

NOLITC school administrator Dr. Ma. Cristina Orbecido said nine applicants have received scholarship in Contact Center Service NC II and 11 applicants got scholarship in Visual Graphic Design NC III.
